The Sultan Abdurrahman College of Health Technology, Gwadabawa in Sokoto state says it has secured full accreditation for six out of its eight courses.

Malam Ahmad-Tijjani Adamu, the principal of the school disclosed this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Gwadabawa.

He said that the accreditation was secured from the respective national regulatory bodies.

Adamu said that the development is a great achievement to the school adding that the remaining two courses have been given interim accreditation status and expressed hope that they would also be accredited.

He listed the six accredited courses as- Medical Laboratory Sciences, Health Information Management, Pharmacy, Environmental Health, Dental and Community Health.

According to him, the two on interim accredited courses are X-Ray and Nutrition and dietetic.

Adamu however, listed challenges facing the school to include shortages of furniture, classrooms and lecture theatre as well as staff accommodation.
