The flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has told his rivals that they have nothing to fear.

The former Lagos State Governor made this known today in his acceptance speech after clinching the party’s ticket.

Tinubu defeated 12 others including Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo and former Minister of Transportation to the ticket.

Speaking after being declared winner of the presidential primary, Tinubu said he hold no grudge against those who competed against him.

Describing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as Poverty Development Party, he, however, urged all and sundry to work with him to defeat their common “foe”.

The ex-Governor lamented 16 years of “wastefulness”, vowing to “repair our country and make it the best for our children”.

“Let’s join hands to defeat the PDP and their retrogressive understanding of Nigeria,” he said.

“They had 16 years, and they depleted our resources. They left us with hunger. Let’s unite to defeat our common foe, the agents of poverty, violence and lies”.

Tinubu who also claimed not to have expected the win said he was intoxicated.

The APC national leader applauded President Muhammadu Buhari, his wife Aisha, Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, the Progressives Governors’ Forum and delegates for their support.
