About 60 women have been kidnapped by assailants following attacks in three villages in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Reports claim that four people were killed in the process.
The attacks, which took place on Tuesday in Munawa, Malele and Randa villages, also witnessed the burning of huts and buildings within the area.
According to a report, the men in the villages had fled the town based on information received prior to the attack, the reason why only women were taken away.
Security in the North-West has declined over the past few years, due to the incessant killings and increased rate of mass abductions. It would be recalled that in April, over 80 people were killed in attacks by terrorists across five villages in Zamfara.
