An Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court ‎on Friday admitted to bail a 70-year-old community elder, Falodi Ojo, who is facing a count charge of impersonation in Ekiti.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Aderopo Adegboye, granted bail to the suspect in the sum of N100, 000 and one credible surety in like sum.‎

He ordered that the surety must have a verifiable address.
Ojo, whose address was not provided, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade, told the court that the accused, as an elder, signed a document he was not in a position to endorse.

Okunade said that the offence contravened Section 108 of the Criminal Code, Chapter 16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

The court adjourned the case until Sept. 18, for mention.
