Donald Trump has finally conceded defeat to Joe Biden as he promised an orderly transition of power to President-elect Joe Biden on Jan. 20.

“While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!” he said in a statement released by the White House.

He said he continued to “totally disagree with the outcome of election”

This is after Congress, presided over by Vice President Mike Pence, completed its count of the electoral votes to confirm Biden’s victory.

Trump’s failure to accept defeat led to a violent protest where his supporters invaded the Capitol, on Wednesday, stalling the Congress’ confirmation of the Electoral College votes that was won by Joe Biden.

The protest led to the death of four persons, including a woman that was shot inside the building.

Trump’s Twitter account was also suspended temporarily after a trio tweet was found to have violated some of the policies and incited violence.
