American singer, Trey Songz, has been arrested for assaulting the police at a sports game.

The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and for assaulting a police officer while trying to fight his way out.

Trey born Tremaine Aldon Neverson was pestered by fans as he watched the American football game and asked them to “chill out”.

The singer was seen in a footage trying to struggle with an officer who stood facing him as Trey sat in his seat facing the pitch at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas city, Missouri on January 24, 2021.

In the footage, Trey was seen getting the officer in a headlock while he threw a punch in the direction of the Officers head.

However, the officer succeeded in pinning him to his seat before other security agents arrived.

Trey is seen shouting “get off me” as he struggles with the police. A witness shouted “get off of him”, another yelled “what the f***, he didn’t do it”.

Reports show he is on a 24-hour hold and will likely be released.

The “bottoms up” singer was rumoured to have been treated wrongly and witnesses confirmed the police were at fault.
