The Appeal Court sitting in Akure has dismissed the appeal filed by the governorship candidate of the Peooles Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede, against the re-election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The five-man panel upheld the judgement of the tribunal, which validated the reelection of governor Akeredolu.
The appealate court said the appeal filed by Jegede lacked merit.
