Armed men stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba dead.
The gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house, according to reports.
The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari.
The village is understood to have experienced a level of insecurity in the past which has forced many away to nearby towns for the safety of their lives.
