The paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, HRM Michael Ameh Oboni II, is dead.
The monarch reportedly died on Thursday morning.
The cause of his death is still unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Sources, however, disclosed that he passed on after a brief ailment.
Before his death, he was the chairman, Kogi State traditional council.
The Attah Igala recently dissolved the Board of Trustees (BOT) and the National Executive Council (NEC) of Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA).
He also endorsed the constitution of a 20-member Interim National Working Committee.
Oboni ascended the throne in 2012 following the death of Aliyu Ocheja Obaje.
Obaje ruled for 52 years before he died at the age of 102.
