Suspected bandits in their large numbers attacked the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), killing two officers and kidnapped one, KaftanPost reports.
A senior officer, identified as Maj. Datong was killed in the raid while Lt. Cdr Wulah and Flt. Lt CM Okoronwo were shot dead.
The suspected bandits stormed NDA Afaka in the wee hours of Tuesday, at about 0125hrs.
A source in the barracks also confirmed to KaftanPost that an officer, identified as 2Lt Onah sustained gun shot injury and currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Details of how many more officers that were either killed or kidnapped are sketchy at the time of filing this report as the assailants shot sporadically before escaping.
KaftanPost reports that this is the second major attack in Afaka area of Kaduna State after the kidnapping incident that took place on 11 March 2021, federal College of Forestry Mechanisation was attacked and students kidnapped.
