Bandits release five of 73 kidnapped Zamfara students

Five out of the seventy-three abducted students of Government Day Secondary School Kaya, Maradun Local Government Area have been released by their abductors.

Recall that the Zamfara State Police Command confirmed the abduction of the students in a statement issued yesterday.

According to the command, the students were kidnapped within the school premises around 11.00 am and were taken away.

However, while confirming the release of the five students, a former councillor of Kaya Ward, Yahaya Kaya, said, his daughter Amina was among the students released by the bandits.

According to him, the five students were taken back to their hometown, Kaya, around 01:00am this morning.

He, however, maintained that the school students were all in good health.
