The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed bandits’ attack on a farming community close to Gandi district of the Rabba Local Government Area of the state.
The criminals are believed to have attacked the farmers on their farms with dangerous weapons and, in the process, killed four people at the weekend.
An 18-year-old girl was abducted during the attack that took place in broad daylight.
The spokesman of the command, DSP Sanusi Abubakar, confirmed this to newsmen on Monday.
He said the Divisional Police Officers of Rabba are on top of the situation, promising that more details on the incident will follow soon.
He said, “Yes, we confirmed the incident and we are on top of the situation.
“Details will follow soon,” he said.
