It was a glamorous night at Ghana’s biggest award show Vodafone Ghana Music Award ‘23 (VGMA) as big names in the entertainment industry like Stonebwoy, Mona Montrage aka Haija4real, D-Black and Sefa graced the red carpet with their stunning outfits.

The award show was a two-day event and on Saturday, May 7, the 23rd Edition for VGMA had performances from Black Sherif, King Promise, kiDi, among others.

The event was hosted at the Accra International Conference Center, where celebrities arrived on the red carpet showing off their extravagant fashion style.

Let’s check out the best and worst styles at the VGMA ‘23 by some of Ghana’s biggest stars.

Serwaa Amihere, the beautiful award winning broadcaster hosted the VGMA red carpet with charm and topped the list for best dressed female in a sparkling body-hugging dress designed by Simabrew.

The main host of the night, Berla Mundi, came through with different looks that screamed perfection but our favorite is the extra-ordinary dress that featured diamonds and a long thigh-high slit in front of the gown.

Sefa came to serve looks as she celebrated her birthday at the VGMA in a black dress embodied with white and red stones, the fashion queen won Afrobeats song of the year and also performed at the award show, wearing a full red outfits that includes a short gown and boots.

Mawuli Gavor also topped the list for best dressed, the actor and model suited up in a blue tux and looked like he could pass for the next James Bond.

TikTok influencer, Kojo Asante Kesse is also on the list for best dressed male, he arrived on the red carpet with other influencers as they made the weekend a memorable one on Tiktok for Vodafone Ghana.

While some male celebrities like KiDi and Kofi Kinaata brought simplicity to the red carpet, artist like Kuami Eugene wore a brown suit that featured two different fabrics with his half braided hair.

The singer won an award for Hip-Life Song of the Year but failed to bring his A-game to the red carpet.

Unfortunately, Janet Offei, the TikTok influencer who has over 2.5 million followers on TikTok also lost it on the red carpet as she wore a white gown that looked like a wedding dress.

This year award show was no different from other VGMA as celebrities wore outfits that definitely gave people something to make fun of and Black Sherif was not far from it.

The award winning artist wore a white suit paired with a yellow shirt and a matching yellow neck gaiter beanie as Ghanaians took to their social media to describe his outfits as that of a yellow duck.

The VGMA is one of the biggest night for musicians in Ghana, but it is also one of fashion wildest event.
