Boxer Aslam Khan dies from knockout punch

Pakistani boxer, Muhammad Aslam khan, aged 27 has died after being hit in the fourth round of a match.

The boxer had been in the ring with Wali Khan Tareen when he fell and was transported to a hospital in Karachi Pakistan as a result of Internal injuries.

According to media reports, the boxers were from the Pishin district of Balochistan and were in the 80kg weight category.

It has been confirmed that as at the time of the incident, there were no medical personnel present in the ringside.

The report said, “He didn’t die in the ring, he suffered facial injuries and there wasn’t anyone there to look after him.”

Aslam Khan began his boxing career in 2007 and won a national title and several tournaments within a decade.

It has been reported that there had been several cases of deaths in the ring especially in 2019. Victims include; Boris Stanchov, Hugo Alfredo Santillan, Patrick Day and Maxim Dadashev.

Mundo has disclosed that Aslam’s death is being questioned by the authorities and that the bout did not meet the safety conditions necessary for the match.

British fighter, Amir Khan, also spoke about the possibility of the weight of the deceased’s opponent. He said, “The bouts of the rival boxer shows that he was of more weight than that of the deceased.”
