The Federal Government has on Tuesday, extended by eight weeks, the ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module integration exercise.
The Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde, who disclosed that the new deadline was now April 6, 2021, said the extension was conveyed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
The Minister had conveyed the message during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration which held on the 1st of February, 2021.
A six (6) weeks extension was earlier granted to subscribers without NIN, from 30th December 2020 to 9th February 2021.
