A first class traditional ruler in Kogi State, Alhaji Shaibu Usman, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Friday.
Alhaji Usman, who is the current Acting Eje of Ankpa, was kidnapped at about 5:30am, while entering a Mosque in Ankpa.
The kidnappers laid ambush at the mosque, and zoomed off immediately with the Traditional Ruler.
His whereabout is yet to be known as no contact has been made with the family of the monarch.
The kidnap has been confirmed by the Kogi State Police Command and investigation is said to have begun.
