The Ondo State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Alagbaka area in Akure, the state capital has been gutted by fire.
KaftanPost correspondent learnt that smart card readers were majorly affected by the inferno on Thursday evening according to an INEC source.
However, the root cause of the fire could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
This would come as a blow to the electoral commission with the state’s Guber polls scheduled for October 13.
