Buhari holds security meeting with Service Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday held a meeting with the security chiefs and heads of security agencies at the presidential villa.

The specific agenda for discussion was not made public at press time but it is believed to be centered on reviewing the country’s security situation.

It is also expected that the security chiefs will brief the president on the latest happenings and steps that have been taken to address the situation.

Those in attendance include the Minister of Defence, General Bashir Magashi (retd); the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and the service chiefs led by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor among others.

Meanwhile, there is a reported operation by the military in Zamfara State to flush out bandits from its forests.
