Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has asked Nigerians to blame President Muhammadu Buhari for the emergence of top separatists, Sunday “Igboho” Adeyemo and Nnamdi Kanu.

Both are separatist leaders that have been calling for separate and independent nations, Yoruba Nation and Biafra Republic.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday, Omokri said majority of Nigerians would continue to support the two separatists because of “President Muhammadu Buhari’s empathy for bandits and killer herdsmen.”

He berated the Buhari-led government for failing to address the issue of bandits and herdsmen ravaging communities across the country.

Omokri claimed that the President is aware that some communities in Northern Nigeria pay bandits money and other things.

“Multiple communities in Northern Nigeria have peace pacts with bandits and killer herdsmen, of which they pay them a certain amount every month. The Buhari government is fully aware of this and does nothing. That’s why Igboho and Kanu will continue to have support,” Omokri wrote.

While Nnamdi Kanu is under the custody of the Federal Government, efforts are being made to extradite Sunday Igboho from Benin Republic to Nigeria after he was arrested at the West African country.
