CJN set to inaugurate 2023 Election Petition Tribunals on Monday

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will inaugurate Election Petition Tribunals on Monday, November 7, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongbam, selected over 400 Judges from States and Federal High Courts to serve on the panel.

The Supreme Court’s Director of Information and Press, Festus Akande confirmed that the inauguration of the Tribunals would take place at the National Judicial Institute (NJI) as against the usual Apex Court premises.

Akande explained that the Andrews Otutu Obaseki Auditorium of the NJI was considered due to the large number of members of the tribunal being expected to be at the inauguration ceremony at 9am on Monday.
