A judge of the Court of Appeal, Justice Lokulo-Sodipe, has died on Monday.
He died at the age of 67.
Confirming the report, the immediate past chairman of the Akure branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Rotimi Olorunfemi, announced the incident on a Whatsapp platform
Reports said Justice Lokulo-Sodipe slumped and died while preparing for a sitting in Akure, Ondo State capital.
“Just confirmed it (the judge’s death), it is true. He collapsed in the office at Court of Appeal, Akure this morning. Was rushed to the hospital but confirmed DOA (Death on Arrival),” he wrote.
The Late Justice was born on February 18, 1956, and was appointed to the Appellate Court on February 15, 2008.
He is from Abeokuta South in Ogun State and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1979.
