COVID-19 Lockdown: FG allows banks to open nationwide

The Federal Government has announced that banks will reopen nationwide as it begins to ease the lockdown.

This development was made known by the  Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 during Wednesday’s briefing.

The FG had ordered the closure of banks, schools, markets, religious centres and other public places during the start of April.

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, hinted on the lockdown relaxation starting from Monday.

According to the National Coordinator of the Task Force, Sani Aliyu, on Wednesday, banking halls would be open to customers between 8am and 2pm.

However, Lagos has disclosed that it will allow an hour extension till 3pm.
