A man identified as Iduh Hausa, has reportedly killed his brother-in-law over an alleged infidelity in Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area, Delta State.
According to a news outlet, Iduh shot his sister’s husband dead because he suspected that his in-law was seeing another woman.
The incident has thrown the community into despair as the suspect has equally fled according to the police.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and the suspect’s disappearance.
Edafe said, “Yes, it is confirmed; we have not arrested the suspect; he’s still at large. Effort is ongoing to arrest him wherever he is hiding.”
A witness said, “Mr Iduh Hausa shot his brother-in-law to death just because he (suspect) claimed that the man was dating another lady.
“He said the brother-in-law was cheating on his sister.”
