Celebrity bar man, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu also known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The socialite was arrested on charges of tax fraud and money laundering according to reports from the agency.
As at Saturday, the bar man had not been released on bail released to the public. A source said “the matter is still under investigation.”
He was arrested at the Lagos Airport on Thursday, March 31, 2022, but the arrest was not made public due to pressure that the incident might alert others involved in the alleged crime.
According to reports, the anti-graft officials kept the news mum till the official announcement.
The bar man, whose birthday was yesterday, couldn’t respond to his messages and nothing was posted on his Instagram page either.
His wife is the only one granted to see him in custody.
