The All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded President Bola Tinubu for taking courageous actions to reposition the nation’s economy since his inauguration.

In the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the ruling party also thanked Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, and made a heartfelt plea for them to show compassion for members of the society who are less fortunate and in need.

This was made known in a statement released on Thursday in Abuja by Felix Morka, the APC’s national publicity secretary.

The statement read, “This year’s celebration remarkably coincides with a period in our nation’s history when our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is taking some courageous and decisive steps to reposition our beloved country for rapid economic growth and wholesome greatness in line with his administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.

“We urge Nigerians to subscribe to the virtues of sacrifice and patience as we soldier on in our quest for a better Nigeria. We also enjoin our Muslim compatriots to continue to show compassion towards the needy and less-privileged among us as they celebrate.”

Meanwhile, the president joined other prominent Muslims for prayers at the Dodan Barracks Praying Ground in Lagos a few hours to the special Sallah speech.

Tinubu was accompanied by Babatunde Fashola, a former governor of Lagos State, Femi Gbajabiamila, the president’s chief of staff, Nuhu Ribadu, and other senior government officials.
