Grammy winning artiste, Ayo Balogun also known as Wizkid, has won the Best African Act in MTV Europe Music Awards 2021.
The award, which was hosted by American rapper, Saweeti, was held at the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
Wizkid beat singers like Diamond Platnumz, Tems, Amaarae and Focalistic in the category.
The organisers of the show, MTV base, took to their Instagram to congratulate the afrobeat artiste.
Their post reads, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world.”
Wizkid, who is also known as BIG WIZ, is set to release another album after the success of his fourth studio album ‘Made in Lagos’.
