Emir of Zazzau: Muhammad Ja’afaru concedes to Nuhu Bamali

Muhammad Ja’afaru has conceded to the appointment of Nuhu Bamali as the new Emir of Zazzau.

Mr. Ja’afaru made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday, October 7, after the Gov. el-Rufai approved the appointment of Nuhu Bamali.

Mr Ja’afaru was one of the key princes taunted to succed the late Emir, Shehu Idris, who died on September 20.

Ja’afaru’s father held the position between 1937 and 1959.

In the statement, Ja’afaru congratulated the new Emir, Nuhu Bamali, and expressed his gratitude to his family, friends and well wishers for their support and prayers.

“It is with deep sense of gratitude to Almighty SWT that I learnt of the appointment of Magajin Garin Zazzau, Ambadsador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as the new Emir of Zazzau, by Governor Nasir Ahmed el Rufai.

“We all must all accept the will of Allah SWT, and congratulate the new Emir, HH Ambassador Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment. May Allah SWT guide, lead and direct his actions on the throne, and usher in peace and prosperity to our people. Allahumma Amin.

“I, on behalf of my family, friends and well wishers, wish to also express my immense and profound gratitude to you, and through you, all and sundry for the outpouring of support/solidarity and prayers.

“We are extremely humbled.”

The Kaduna State Government had earlier on Wednesday, announced the appointment of Mr Bamalli as the new emir of Zazzau to replace the late Emir, Shehu Idris, who reigned for 45 years before his death on September 20.
