The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Malam Mele Kyari, has said that the corporation’s area of focus in boosting their 2021 revenue will be gas, condensate and other streams.

This was disclosed by the Group Managing Director, Mallam Mele Kyari, on Thursday at the on-going virtual Gulf Intelligence “Global” UAE Energy Forum 2021, while speaking on the topic, ‘Outlook for Africa/Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Sector in Post-COVID-19 Era.

He stated that the NNPC is keeping tabs with the oil output cut agreement of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies, which seems to stabilize the global oil market.

Kyari also stated that gas has proved to be a steady and reliable revenue stream especially while the global community grappled with the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and therefore would top the priority list in 2021.

The NNPC Boss also expressed optimism that the demand for crude oil would pick up by the end of the year and there would be a marginal increase in output.

The Minister of Energy and Agriculture, United Arab Emirates (UAE), an engineer, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, earlier in his speech had appealed to all oil producing nations not to flood the market with crude oil.
