A gas plant explosion has left several persons dead and many badly injured in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State.
It was a black Friday in Agbor a gas plant belonging to Osadebe Oil and Gas Company along the Lagos/Asaba Expressway exploded, leaving an unconfirmed number of people dead and many seriously injured.
Houses close to the location of the incident were also destroyed by the explosion with the cause yet to be determined.
Victims were rushed to nearby hospitals with various degrees of burns and injuries.
Footages of hospitals where some victims were rushed showed terribly injured persons outside the building waiting for attention in trucks, vehicles, while some were seen inside the building been attended to with few health workers nearby.
The fire service later arrived the site of the explosion to savage the situation.
