Decapitated and dismembered body of Tech CEO and Venture Capitalist, Fahim Saleh, was found in his Lower East Side apartment in New York on Tuesday afternoon.
Saleh is the CEO of Nigeria-based motorbike startup, Gokada.
Police arrived the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. following a request for welfare check by a cousin of the deceased. Saleh’s body was found sorted in plastic bags right next to an electric saw – sources told New York Post.
The 33-year-old victim’s arms and legs were chopped off, and his body parts compartmentalized in plastic bags found around the apartment.
Sources have described the killing as an apparent ‘targeted murder’.
Fahim Saleh was known as the ‘Elon Musk of the developing world’ among his peers and the crime is particularly unsettling because it took place in what is typically a quiet neighbourhood, residents said.
