Gunmen, on Thursday, kidnapped 10 students of the Federal University Lafia in Nasarawa State.
The gunmen stormed students’ off campus settlement in Gandu opposite the institution’s permanent site at about 2am and kidnapped the students who are currently writing their exams, it was gathered.
The assailants reportedly shot sporadically while rounding up students who tried to flee their residence during the attack.
The state police command’s public relations officer, DSP Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the incident but said information on the development is still sketchy.
Meanwhile, students of the university had embarked on a peaceful protest demanding an end to the incessant kidnapping of their colleagues.
