Gunmen invade Imo community, kill three NSCDC officers

Gunmen, on Monday, killed three personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Imo State.

The attack at the Eke Isu Market in Obiangwu communityin the Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of the state, caused traders and residents in the community to be thrown into a panic.

According to reports, the NSCDC personnel were in a vehicle heading to a destination when the gunmen ambushed their vehicle and killed them.

Security agents including soldiers were alerted to the incident and mobilised to the scene to forestall further attacks and track down the assailants responsible for the attacks in the community.

Attacks on security operatives seems unending in Imo State with members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) blamed for the attack.
