Here we go again! The real reason why Donald Trump enters the ring for another fight

In announcing his third bid for the White House, Donald J. Trump, the twice impeached, disgraced, and criminal suspect under multiple FBI probes, has proven once again that not only does he consider himself special and above the law, but he is now convinced that a large segment of the American public is either wittingly bubbleheads or are immensely gullible to want to buy his old snake oil.

On Tuesday night at his Mar-a-lago honky-tonk lodge/home, Trump announced to a room of ardent supporters his intention to take on Joe Biden in 2024. Setting off another two years of chaos. His announcement comes almost 17 months before the first primary ballot.

“In order to Make America Great and Glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said to his MAGA disciples. Note the acronym has changed to “MAGGA”

“But just as I promised in 2016, I am your voice. I am your voice. The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we will not let them do that. What we have built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history because it is not about politics. It’s about our love for this great country, America, and we’re not going to let it fail,”

Let’s pause and let that sink in.

So this ex-president will have us believe that he is running for the third time because he loves America and wants to save her from the “establishment?”

For the credulous and simpleminded, his announcement sound believable. But once you begin to peel the onions to see what’s behind this desperate rush to jump into the 2024 presidential campaign before anyone else announces, you’ll see it is riddled with self-interest, preservation, and, yes, a veiled attempt to escape prosecution and potential jail time.

Why do I say that?

First, the man is under at least two federal criminal investigations and at least one from the State of Georgia. Notably, the FBI is looking into his mishandling and bald-face theft of the nation’s most guided secrets. If indicted, tried, and found guilty of violating these three laws, 18 U.S. Code section 793, 2071, and 1519, he could face up to ten years in prison for 793 and up to 20 years for 2071 and 1519.

Second, he is also under active probe by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for his actions and involvement in the January 6th, 2021, attack on the U.S. capitol, which threatened to overturn the 2020 presidential election and or interfere with the legitimate, lawful transfer of power from one administration to the next. 18 USC 2383 Rebellion or insurrection is a severe offense. If found guilty, he faces up to ten years in prison.

And third, since 2021, Fulton county Georgia has been investigating Trump and his allies’ roles in the attempt to subvert the state’s 2020 election result. Trump is specifically a target in this investigation after he pressured the secretary of state to find him 11,780 votes. Just one more vote above his opponent to enable him win. Recent reports indicate that the prosecutor is gearing up to issue flurries of indictments sometime in December.

So with multiple criminal charges looming, Donald Trump still wants us to believe he is running for president because he loves the country? Quite absurd. And yet the silliest thing I’ve ever heard and not worth taking seriously.

But to his followers, it is the much-awaited and prophesied “second coming.”

Let no one be deceived. Donald Trump’s decision to run again is not about love for country or a legitimate run for president; it is a desperate, duplicitous, sneaky attempt to sidestep prosecution and evade Justice. A classic political jiggery-pokery with a new twist to public dishonesty.

The man thinks announcing his run for the presidency will get the DOJ off his tail. He is banking on a weakly Justice Department that will bow to pressure from the potential political firestorm that might ensue based on the appearance of bias that they are targeting Joe Biden’s chief political rival. But I don’t think Trump has entirely given this a befitting thought because running for president is not a get-out-of-jail-free card. Whether he runs for president or not, Donald Trump will be indicted for his crimes against the country and be made to swallow the pill.

Let us not forget his multimillion-dollar mounting legal bills. He is running out of cash. He needs money desperately. A run for president assuredly guarantees a haul of cash from his naively devout supporters. Soon enough, he’ll begin to rake in millions.

Donald Trump has certainly mastered the art of grift.

So if anyone, apart from his followers, is hoodwinked into believing that this man desire to be president again just because he has such inviolable affection for the country, here is a shocker for you, he does not. He only wants to save his skin.

A man who incite rabid mobs to ravage the citadel of American democracy put the lives of over 535 lawmakers plus staff plus his own Vice President in danger and who is willing to burn down the house on his way out is not a good citizen or a patriot or one who loves his country, but a traitor, a nihilist, an anarchist, a demagog, and a crook.

Donald Trump is a wounded and trapped politician trying to get off the hook. America should not let him get off easily.

  1. Trump has always seems to me like our African leaders in a white skin.
Political office is not a place for second chances especially when you did not value the said opportunity / was not responsible while holding the office.
Nigerian citizens for instance now know better on where to cast their votes after the series of incompetent leaders who had placed themselves in offices for their personal and selfish gains.
If indeed the Republicans make Trump their flag bearer,I’m certain Americans will know better on what to do.#electorateswillnolongerbedeceived.
