Singer, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has disclosed how he felt about being a father.
The singer welcomed a baby girl with his wife, Alex, on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
The ‘I’m in love’ crooner, in an interview with Saturday Beats, said he wasn’t with his wife when she delivered their baby. He also stated reasons why he wasn’t with her during the process.
Harrysong said his wife gave birth in Malta in Europe, and he was in Nigeria doing some business and anticipating for shows during the festive season.
He revealed how blessed he feels about being a father, although he stated that he doesn’t know how he feels yet till he sees and holds his daughter.
The elated father said, “My wife is in Malta and that was where she had our beautiful daughter. But, I am in Nigeria at the moment to handle my business. I also have shows back home.
“I feel blessed being a father. I am practically the happiest man right now.
“I am just very excited about it but I don’t know if being a father would change anything about me until I experience it.
“What I know is that I am so excited and I cannot wait to hold my child, look into her eyes and know what it actually feels like to be a father.”
He also spoke about how his recent song got released the same day his daughter was born.
“This is a blessing for me because my baby arrived in the morning, I released a song titles ‘she knows’ that same day. I featured Olamide and Fireboy DML on the song and I cannot wait for my fans to experience it,” he said.
Harrysong and his wife, Alexer Perez Gopa, got married in August, 2021, in Delta State.
