Rapper, Eva Alordiah, on Tuesday, revealed that she quit music due to depression.
On her Instagram page, Alordiah, now a technopreneur and social media content creator, said she lost her passion for music following the onerous moments that she found herself.
The rapper said she also struggled financially and had to take the bold decision of pursing a career elsewhere.
“3 years ago I was broke, depressed and pissed off with my existence. I stood in front of the mirror one day and broke down crying,” she wrote.
“I felt like I was living a lie, I no longer know who I was & I was going through one of the most painful Ego deaths I had ever experienced”.
Alordiah added that at one point while depressed, she questioned God several times, saying, “show yourself dammeet!”
According to her, she was “talented, broke, depressed and tired of life.”
She claimed that she decided to challenge herself to look for money away from her music and fame.
Alordiah, however, noted that she found a new passion and earned money online.
Sharing her wins, she said “Within 9 months, I had earned almost N17,000,000 on IG without stress, in the middle of that win, one mosquito asked me to come perform at a show for N100,000.
“You will never know the joy I felt when I said, ‘No thank you,’ and hung up the phone without remorse. It’s freedom!!”
She also revealed how elated she is presently, the thought of not relying on her music anymore for her needs and she could record when she wants it without the need for pressure.

According to her, the height of her joy is to know she is capable of her parents needs.
“I don’t care about fame or having all the money in the world, all I know is, being able to tell your parents, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it’ is a different kind of level up!!.”
