Suspected member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Sunday, set ablaze the home of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The APC Stewart, who is based in Lagos State alleged that the IPOB carried out the attack on Sunday afternoon.

Making this known in a post on facebook, Igbokwe wrote, “IPOB invaded my house in Nnewi about now. I am sure they raised down the house giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from their Sienna car via CCTV.

“To God be the glory. I am still alive. My Study is my greatest regret,”

The APC chieftain is one of the few prominent Igbo leaders speaking against the activities of the secessionist group.

Igbokwe had recently called for a state of emergency on the entire South East region.
