Legendary musician, Ebenezer Obey, has confirmed that he is alive as against rumour that he was dead.
Multiple reports emerged on Saturday alleging that the Juju music maestro had died in London.
However, in an Instagram Live session with the publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, the 78-year-old said he had not completed his mission on earth.
“My phone has been buzzing all day. People have been calling me. I’m not surprised though, because of the affection people have for me,” he said in Yoruba.
“It’s not yet time for me to die. I’ve not finished what God sent me to do. I must fulfil my purpose and complete my assignment.”
The veteran singer, who is now an evangelist, thanked everyone who reached out to him.
