Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari’s nephew, Amadu Ali and two security operatives have died in a fatal accident on Saturday.
The incident was said to have happened while the trio was driving to the governor’s hometown for the election.
Spokesperson for the police command in the state, SP Gambo Isah and media aide to the state governor, Al-amin Isah, both confirmed the incident.
According to Al-amin, “two policemen that died are Nura Sufayanu, Kabir Ali, and Amadu Ali, a nephew to the governor.
“The accident happened in a village called Gadar Tsuntsaye near Jikamshi in Musawa Local Government Area.
“Three other people are receiving treatment at Malumfashi General Hospital.”
They have been buried according Islamic rites.
