The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, Muhammed Danasabe, has died.
Danasabe died in the early hours of Friday at a Lokoja hospital during a brief illness.
His death came barely 24 hours after the governorship election in the state.
According to a family source, the deceased will be buried at the Unguwan Kura Muslim Cemetery after Juma’at prayer.
He’s survived by his mother, wife and children.
In a statement shared with newsmen, Talba Lakwaja, Lokoja LG APC public relations officer (PRO), said Danasabe will be buried at Anguwan Kura burial ground after jummat prayer on Friday (today).
“The body will depart his family house at cantonment to Lokoja central mosque 1:30pm. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljanah fidaurs. Ameen,” the statement reads.
