Serial governorship aspirant in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has been declared wanted for attending a controversial party organised by Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, on Saturday.

The party was held in honour of Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a. JJC Skillz, Akindele’s singer-husband who clocked 42.

Mr Gbadamosi, the Guber candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in last year’s polls, was among high-profile Nigerians in attendance.

Others are controversial singer Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley and Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus.

Nigerians hit Akindele hard with sticks for disobeying the lockdown orders in the state aimed to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

Many even called for her arrest with the state Police acting accordingly.

” Attention of Lagos State Police Command was drawn to a viral video showing a large number of persons mainly in the entertainment industry in an Estate, along Ajah, Ibeju-Lekki axis, Lagos celebrating a birthday party organised by Funke Akindele Bello and her husband,” DSP Bala Elkana, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer revealed.

“Police detectives from the State CID Yaba were promptly drafted to the location. Funke Akindele was arrested.”

The Police added that Mr Gbadamosi and others in attendance would be arrested too.

“Investigation is ongoing, efforts are intensified to arrest the remaining persons in the video, among whom are Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley and Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a. JJC Skillz,” the statement added.

“They are in their best interests urged to report at the State CID Yaba on Monday 6th April, 2020 or risk being declared wanted.”

However, Mr Gbadamosi, who is the chairman of Amen Estates in Ibeju Lekki, where the Bellos reside, has apologised for flouting the social distance policy in place.

According to the property guru, he never envisaged the number of guests in attendance at the event.

Mr Gbadamosi, though, admitted a “lapse of judgement”, as he would have departed the venue as soon as the number surged.
