First son of the late legal luminary, Chief Rotimi Williams, Ladi has died of complications arising from the dreaded COVID-19 disease.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria sadly passed away in the early hours of Sunday at the isolation ward of the famous St. Nicholas hospital, Lagos.

The cause of death being Covid-19 complications has aroused concerns given that the deceased was fully vaccinated. His death was confirmed by his younger brother, Chief Kayode Rotimi-Williams who wrote: “I just lost my elder brother, Chief Ladi Rotimi Williams aged 74 to Corona Virus”.

The deceased and rest of his siblings have been embroiled in years of intractable litigation over inheritance left by their late father the famous legal icon, Frederick Alade Rotimi Williams, QC SAN, himself a scion of lawyers and judicial officers.

Williams was called to the Nigerian bar about 48 years ago and he became a SAN in 1995.

He was a principal partner at the Chief Ladi Rotimi-Williams Chambers (CLRWC), a Nigerian law firm based in Lagos.

He founded the law firm to provide a variety of high quality legal services to individuals, private corporations and public sector organisations.

The senior lawyer was regarded as one of the top 100 senior advocates in the country with expertise in litigation and commercial law.
