The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has deactivated his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Malami took to his Facebook page to announce that he has deactivated his Twitter account.

This is after the Federal Government suspended all Twitter operations in the country, following the decision of the social media platform to delete a tweet on President Muhammad Buhari’s handle citing genocidal violence against people of the South-east region, a move that didn’t go well with the government.

AGF Malami therefore ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of any Nigerian still using the micro-blogging website.

However, Malami would have been unable to access Twitter without the use of VPN as there was no other means of accessing the social media platform.
