Rihanna has always made a statement whenever she arrives at the Met Gala red carpet.
Last year, Rihanna with her partner, Asap Rocky, arrived at the Met Gala in style, she wore a haute duvet courtesy of Demna at Balenciaga.
It was unfortunate the soon-mum-to-be did not make an appearance at the biggest fashion night, the Met Gala ‘22.
However, the Metropolitan Museum of Arts paid a historic marble tribute to the beauty mogul. It was a statue of Bad-gal Riri showing off her baby bump in New York’s museum, a pregnancy picture from the cover photoshoot she did for Vogue magazine, April ’22.
The singer took to her Twitter and Instagram, appreciating the special tribute of the Met Museum, she posted a video, captioning it, “shout down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!”
The 2022 Met Gala took place on Monday, May 2, in New York city.
It celebrates the second volume in a two part Costume Institute exhibition.

The Met Gala seemed to be full of surprises, and this tribute to Rihanna has to be the best fo them all.
