Mohbad: Protest erupts in Ogun, Ondo state over death

A group of bittered Nigerian youths are beginning to hold peaceful protests in honour of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba also known as Mohbad.

Youths in Abeokuta, Ogun state and Akure, Ondo state, have trouped out in great numbers to cry out to the government for a better investigation surrounding the death of their own.

Some of the protesters in Ogun were seen with placards with “Justice For Mohbad’, “Naira Marley must go”, “Government must arrest Marlians”, amongst others.

Youths in Akure were seen dressed in black with a loud stereo playing the late singer’s songs as they marched around singing along.

The Nigerian Police on Monday had begun an investigation with a 13-man special investigation team to examine the controversies behind Mohbad’s death.

He died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 after an alleged ear infection.

Police in Lagos State already set up a 13-man special investigation team to probe the death of Mohbad.
