More facts have emerged on how Deeper Life Church Pastor, Otamayomi Ogedengbe, was kidnapped on Monday.

The kidnappers had stormed the Deeper Life church in Akure at Onigari area of Shagari Village, Akure, the Ondo State capital to abduct the Pastor.

It was gathered that Pastor Ogedengbe, a native of Akungba Akoko, was kidnapped in the church on Monday night around 8:37pm.

Ogedengbe is a retired director in the ministry of education in Ondo State.

His abduction was confirmed by a member of the church called Mr Paul, who said Ogedengbe was kidnapped inside the church, and that the kidnappers came with a black Corolla sport car.

The wife could not hold her tears as she narrated that her husband whisked away in the church while the weekly service was on.

She further said her husband, the pastor, was sitting by her side when the men came in and said somebody drove against them outside the church which they wanted him to intervene.

Mrs Ogedengbe said they forced him out of the church into a black corolla car parked outside and started shooting sporadically into the air before they headed towards Irese road in the car.

However, the police PPRO, Tee Leo Ikolo, who spoke with Kaftan reporter on Tuesday at the police headquarters, said the police will get the pastor out of the kidnappers’ den in no distant time with the help of other security agencies.
