Nasarawa State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkarim Kana, has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
Mr Kana is a member of the state task force on COVID-19.
Commissioner for Health, Yahaya Ahmed, confirmed the attorney general’s positive status to The Nation on Thursday.
Ahmed said Kana is in stable condition and self-isolating at home.
The Nasarawa AG isn’t the first top judicial official to have been affected by the contagion.
Enugu High Court Judge, Fidelis Ngwu and Kogi Chief Judge, Nasir Ajana, reportedly died of coronavirus.
