An NGO, Sudden Olakoko Project, on Wednesday donated a block of four classrooms to the United Apostolic Elementary and Middle School, Oke-Osin in Atakumosa West Local Government area of Osun.

The NGO Project Manager, Mrs Mopelola Fabunmi, said at the inauguration that the classrooms were constructed to create a conducive learning environment for the pupils.
Fabunmi said that education was a vital key to the development of any nation, urging other corporate organisations to support government in building a virile education sector.
She said the dilapidated condition of the school and the need to provide conducive learning environment for the pupils, prompted the NGO to embark on the project.
Fabunmi said that the NGO had also intervened in the areas of health, women and youths empowerment, as well as the back-to-school education programmes.
The project manager said that the various interventions by the NGO were aimed at achieving the Millennium Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In his remarks, Rep. Lawrence Ayeni, representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency, commended the NGO for its intervention in the education sector, pledging his support toward equipping the facility.
Ayeni, represented by Mr Akeem Adesoji, the Chairman of llesa East Local Government, said since government alone could not fund education sector, there was need for the support of private organisations.
Speaking on behalf of the benefiting community, the Aro of Oke-Osin, Chief Timothy Adebayo, and Headmistress of the school, Mrs Funmilayo Olarewaju, said the structure would pave way for education advancement in the community.
