Nigeria records 562 new cases, total now 37,225

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 562 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, bringing total infections to 37,225.

The agency made this known via its verified Twitter handle on Monday.

The health agency noted that 15,333 patients have been discharged upon treatment and recovery from 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

It added that 801 associated fatalities have been recorded so far.

The NCDC gave the state-by-state distribution of cases confirmed on Monday as, “FCT – 102, Lagos – 100, Plateau – 52, Kwara – 50, Abia – 47, Kaduna – 35, Benue – 34, Oyo – 26, Ebonyi – 24, Kano – 16, Niger – 15, Anambra – 14, Gombe – 12, Edo – 11, Rivers – 6, Nasarawa – 5, Delta – 5, Borno – 3, Enugu – 2, Bauchi – 2, and Kebbi – 1.”
