Nollywood actress, Sotonye Green, dies of COVID-19

Nollywood actress, Sotonye Green, has has died as a result COVID-19 complications.

Sotonye’s death is the first confirmed death in the Nigeria Movie Industry. The Nollywood actress died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Yaba Isolation Centre, Lagos State.

The news was made public by her friend, Debby King via Instagram on January 14, 2021.

Miss King had taken to her post, calling the attention of Lagos State Government to the bizarre incident.

She stated that the Yaba Isolation Centre should be held accountable for the death of her friend, revealing that the Isolation Centre prefers to pay more attention to the higher chambers.

Miss King insisted that the deceased’s oxygen was taken from her and given to someone else, hence killing her.

In Miss King’s words on Instagram, she said, “Please and Please. Help spread the word. Yaba isolation center is a dead trap where only the rich and famous are treated after their doctors have been bribed.

“I never thought I would be saying goodbye so soon. Rest in peace my bestie. May God forgive all your sins and accept your soul into paradise in Jesus name….Amen.”

Sotonye Green is known to be a budding actress, who hails from Rivers State, and starred in a movie called Blood in the Lagoon.
