NSE: Market capitalisation appreciates by 3.37%

Trading activites on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)  on Monday returned to positive trend, appreciating by N383 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 3.37 per cent to N11.720 trillion from N11.337 trillion reported on Friday. 
The NSE All Share index also improved by 392.78 basis points to 31430.50 points from 31037.72 recorded the previous day. 
Investors traded 929.323 million shares worth N3.951 billion in 4144 deals against 1.962 billion shares valued at N6.544 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 4080 deals.
A capital market dealer noted that about 12 billion units of shares listed on Monday by Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) added additional N200 billion to market Capitalisation. A review of the investment during the day showed that Seplat Petroleum Development led gainers table, gaining N47.50 kobo to close at N640.00, Total Nigeria Plc followed with a gain of N7.00 to close at N203.00, Dangote Cement industries gained N6.70 kobo to close at N189.70 kobo, Nestle Nigeria Plc appreciated by N5.00 to close at N14.85 kobo while Nigerian Breweries added N 3.50 kobo to close at N85.50 kobo.
On the contrary, Stanbic IBTC recorded the highest loss during the day shedding  N5.30 kobo to close at N47.95 kobo, Forte Oil trailed with a loss of N3.15 kobo to close at N28.70 kobo, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria down by N0.55 kobo to close at N19.40 kobo, United Bank for Africa declined by N0.15 kobo to close at 7.70 kobo while Cutix Plc dropped by N0.14 kobo to close at N1.64 kobo.
The trading for day however showed that Union Diagonistic led was the most active stock during the day, trading 267.496 million shares worth N66.877 million, Diamond Bank followed with account of 227.572 million shares valued at N492.748 million, NEM Insurance traded 145.288 million shares valued at N392.198 million, Medview Air exchanged 70.912 million shares worth N145.371 million while Fidelity Bank traded 48.031 million shares cost N96.554 million.
